#1. Easter Egg hunt without the plastic eggs and all the candy.

I loved doing this as a kid!
You will need the following supplies:
– Card stock paper or paper whatever you have on hand. Card stock paper works best.
– Crayons
– Scissors
– Coupon ideas for your kids to give to you. I have listed a few to help you out.
Directions:
Cut out an egg shape on card stock or paper. Have your kids trace the egg onto the paper and color one side of the egg and cut them out. Have your kids give you the eggs when they are done coloring them. Once they have given them all to you sit down after they go to bed and put coupons on the backs of all of them.
For instance:
– Good for one date with mom or good for one date with dad
– This egg is worth .25cents, 50cents, $1.00
– Good for one big bear hug
– Good for a movie and popcorn with mom at home
– Good for a movie and popcorn with dad at home
– Good for 1 no nap day
– Good for helping mom in the kitchen cooking or baking

Just remember you can expound on the coupons even more depending on what your child is always begging you to do with them or begging to go or do something. The expiration date can be the following Easter

I saw this idea in the last couple years online, and couldn’t resist to try it.
You will need the following:

– A little garden shovel
-Hole punch
-Plastic bag
-Curling ribbon
– Tag for the Magic Jellybeans “print tag below”

Directions:
– Make this little baggie up with the jellybeans of your choice, fold plastic sandwich zipper bag in half punch two holes in it and then place the curling ribbon and tag through and tie in a bow. *Print tag below.

Give to your child have your child follow the directions on the tag. Have fun!

Have your child dig a small hole and place a couple jelly beans in the hole

*hint if you are doing a multicolored lollypop use one of each color jelly bean. If you have a single colored lollypop make sure to use just that color jelly bean(s).

Cover the hole up and when the child goes to sleep find the hole remove the jelly beans and place a lollypop or sucker in its place sticking out of the ground. Then Easter morning have the child go and check out what the magic jelly beans grew.

-Sewing needle “your needle will get sticky”
-Hard Surface

Directions: Thread your needle and stick it through the jellybean, this is where you will need the hard surface to help you get the needle through all the way. and just continue with as many jellybeans as you would like on the necklace.

This is so much fun to do! your kids will have a blast! you can find the full idea on http://lilluna.com/glow-in-the-dark-easter-eggs/

You will need the following:
-Plastic Easter eggs
– Glow sticks
– Jellybeans
– Tape
– A dark room

Directions fill your Easter eggs with one glow stick “make sure you have bent them so they start to glow” and some Jellybeans and tape them closed! It is as simple as that. The best part is to hide them when it is still daylight and wait until evening and see your kids faces light up when they start to see the eggs glowing. “Make sure to hide them only an hour two before dusk otherwise they would have stopped glowing by the time evening comes.

#21 Make your kids Easter accessories in one day

Check out this link to make your sons ties to go with there dress shirts and slacks.

http://imsharingthewealth.blogspot.com/2011/09/little-boy-tie-tutorial.html?m=1

Add Elastic on the ties part of the tie so they always fit and are easy for little boys to put on themselves.

For little girls you can make them headbands with flowers

You can buy stretchy sequin elastic in the ribbon aisle of Walmart, Measure your childs head and cut the elastic and sew the two ends together then you will want to add your flower to the top and sew it on like you do for a button. To make that process a little easier I removed the hard plastic green from the middle of the flower and then sewn all the layers of the flower to the band. it lays nicer and won’t stab your child’s head.

#22 Make an Easter cake

So very simple you will need the following items

-cake mix
-pretzels
– pull apart licorice
– frosting -chocolate and white
– food coloring
– 2 round cake pans

Directions:
Follow the cake box directions once the cake has cooled put both round cakes on top of each other. Make a cave of sorts on the side, then frost the entire cake with the chocolate frosting. then take your pretzels and break the ends of one large pretzel to create the cross piece to the cross do this with all three crosses. then place all three crosses in the top part of the cake. You will then take one cookie and place it next to the tomb “the whole you made in the cake on the side.” You will then take your white frosting “not the whole container” just a few dollops and put in a bowl with some green food coloring. and stir you will then need to frost the areas you would like to make green for “the grass” I also did a little yellow and made tiny little dots to represent flowers.

Just remember it doesn’t have to be perfect. It is a great illustration and talking point about what Christ did for us and what Easter represents and means when we talk to our kids.

# 25 Easter Story egg hunt

Now the Easter eggs won’t really be empty, They will be filled with one verse each and numbered so as your child brings you the egg read the scripture
You will need the following:
– print the scriptures below.
– Cut the scriptures
– 16 Plastic eggs
– Black permanent Marker

Directions: take all the eggs and number them 1-16 with the black marker, Then cut all the strips of verses and place them in the eggs according to their number on the verse.

You will then hide the eggs and let the child(ren) find one egg at a time starting with number 1. When they bring you egg 1 read the scripture inside and then send them to find the next egg and so on.

This is a great time to explain to your child(ren) Why Jesus died on the cross. Some kids depending on their age will completely understand this and some may not. but explain to your child that they can have Jesus live in their hearts forever. and take their naughtiness away (sin)

There is a prayer of salvation at the end that you can read and help your child say it. you can place it in the last egg #16
