May Day Baskets

May Day the celebration of Winter leaving and Spring coming. Yeah! So let’s celebrate May Day together with some fun activities.

May Day Baskets
These are fun to make with your kids. Now how this works is once your May day baskets are done and filled. place on a friends or neighbors front door, ring the bell and RUN! Hide if you can, nearby so you can see your friend or neighbors expression of surprise. Kids love doing this.

You will need the following supplies

– fun paper or card stock.
– Leftover Easter grass *Optional
– Wrapped Candy
– Tape or glue or both
– Scissors

Start with your paper

fold over your paper like so. Do fold down, you don’t want there to be a crease in the paper.

then cut your paper to look like this to resemble a cone.

Fold the edge of your paper over like so.

Then glue the flap to the other side and hold until dry “If you tape the inside of the cone it will help keep it together.

Next place a long piece of paper on each side of the basket to make the handle. you can use ribbon or just about anything you have on hand to make a handle.

Now fill your basket with goodies
